President's Desk

In NYRA-Berkeley, we strive to make the most out of each and everyone of our members, because true supporters of our cause are sparse. The members that stay with NYRA Berkeley give us all they can, and work very hard in whatever we need to do. Alas, it is impossible to list all of the people that have put work for NYRA Berkeley because of time and space constraints. We do, however, list the staffers and the officers. Regular members do not lack anything that officers have, except for a title. Thanks to anyone who has ever fought age discrimination. Much love from the executive board, and from my worn out desk, caked with tears, sweat and pure love for the cause. ;)

Regards,
Zach Hobesh

Officers

President Zach Hobesh

Zach Hobesh loves youth rights. He met co-founder Robert Reynolds at the ripe old age of 14. Reynolds convinced him to start fighting ageism and the two started NYRA Berkeley together. Zach enjoys sports, creating websites and filming/directing independent films. Zach's main focus in youth rights is the voting age, because he believes that voting is an essential right of democracy.

Vice President Pamela Tatz
Pamela Tatz has been an essential supporter of youth rights for a good chunk of her life. She also enjoys socializing, writing and sitting in cafe's with nothing to do but cotemplate life.

Chairman Rio Bauce
Rio's got what it takes. He's been an excellent asset to NYRA Berkeley and is the number one guy when it comes to connections. This motivated young man also works as a freelance journalist, and is also heavily involved in Berkeley politics outside of NYRA Berkeley.

Secretary Joia Devita

Treasurer Chris Howell
Chris Howell has been the hair of this group, forever. He's also been an excellent ageism fighter since who knows when. Yay for Chris, who also has excellent music taste.

Past Presidents

Zach Hobesh: September 2005 - present

Hobesh was elected in September 2005, when he was starting his junior year. He is committed through January. Hobesh is the second co-founder, along with Reynolds, and is currently the most senior member of NYRA Berkeley.

Chris Howell: June 2005 - September 2005.

Howell lead NYRA Berkeley through a difficult summer, when nobody else wanted the job. He currently juggles keeping track of NYRA Berkeley's finances and serving on National's Board of Directors.

Pamela Tatz: May 2005 - June 2005.

Tatz was named president by default after Reynolds resigned due to personal reasons. She currently serves on the executive board as VP and is also the VP of NYRA National.

Robert Reynolds: September 2004 - May 2005.

As a co-founder of the chapter, Reynolds was the obvious choice and won by a unanimous vote. He led NYRA Berkeley to it's highest point, something no president following him has been able to do, yet. He is currently NYRA's nat'l President.
